Two Fishermen

There were once two fishermen, who, as the fishing season came ‘round, were planning their perfect fishing trip. The date they had decided upon came, and they packed their bags, tackle boxes, lines, and boat, and went to their favorite lake to fish upon. They sat fishing on their canoe, when the light was swept away by evening—and then night.  They had not suspected the cold that would crawl in this early in the season. They, long-time fishermen, had gone on the trip many times before, however never so early as this particular event. As they sat wondering their prospect, they knew nothing would get them to shore without light. They decided that, when the Sun rose, they would paddle to shore, without a hair on their head dampened.

The Sun—The Son of God—Has risen. He awaits our action towards him, or away from him, and is ready and willing to save; though, only if we open our eyes to his outstretched and open arm.

He is risen.
